As a current undergraduate student majoring in health promotion, it is an active goal of mine to attend graduate school to obtain a secondary degree in nursing. In order to gain hands on experience within this field, I earned my certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). After obtaining this certification I began working as a CNA for Right at Home (formerly Care to Continue). I worked with multiple clients within this role and provide a variety of care services.
As part of my job with Right at Home it was my job to:
- Utilize my CNA certification to provide care to patients, execute care plans and monitor patient needs
- Take vitals and administer patient medications
- Demonstrate patient advocacy, support and safety
